I feel you. I have that every day. I work full time as a cashier for a grocery store. I stand on my feet for 8 hours a day. Some of my co-workers say u look fine how can u be tired all the time. Hello? I truely hate explaining to them all the time.…
My right arm was bit a few times as my Chi-wow-wow went to go attack my husband ..
I intervened and put up my arm to stop the little chit and he bit not once but what appears 4 times. (according to teethmarks).
Then! Last night same dog gets in a fight with other dog. I use my good arm (left) reach in between them...and I have 2 punchure wounds smack dab in the middle of the middle finger/top of hand. I go to Dr this afternoon.. He won't believe it till he sees it. But I'm healing well.
I was persistant in scrubbing this arm in the beginning and returned back the next day when I realised the first Dr. should of done more for my arm than just look at it and call in a prescription. Even if one isn't ill, they need to be persistant when they feel the Dr. did not do enough for the patient.
Good news! the one sweet nurse talked to me about LupusMCTD forum, said I would be able to get my foot in the door to work there as an Obudsman with the patients & staff.. and due to *just being a home maker* I should try to volunteer to come in on Saturdays and run the front desk...just answer people's questions what floor what Dr is at, where the restrooms are, etc.
She said that's a foot in the door. And if I want to pursue a nursing carrer she teaches at the Jr College and her oldest student is 68 yrs old and has been trying for years to get her RN license and has to keep retaking classes over.
She said she was in her 30's when she went back to college to become an RN... she said "never is too late"
So I'm sitting on this idea of helping others in a different avenue. It does take 4 years tho.
Hey Andrea.. Glad to hear from you!
My weekend is starting off good... todays infusion treatment for this darn dog bit is getting better! I have the aggressive MSRA infection (staph) My sister Debby had staph and could never heal and ended up with Septis and died (about 3-4 yrs ago). So I am anxious to get well.
As the redness is shrinking the pain is too!
Dave took this photo this afternoon of me just sitting there waiting... it takes 2 hours, it's a slow drip it can not be administered fast into your system. (Vancomycin)
Looking forward to a great weekend.. on the road to recovery!
