finally went to the dr

i went to see my dr monday and ive been having this jabbing pain in my side for a while, so we ran some blood test and it looks like my kedneys are inlarged or somethings not right so i have to go get a sono done and check them out, plus im jaundace and with winter up ahead my bodies already feeling the cool chill in the air. im pretty scared about my kedneys im only 25 and feel like i might not get to see my 2yr old grow up. its just one bad thing after another with this im sick of it

Sorry to hear this news. Try not to worry too much until you get your test results. There's no benefit from getting all worked up about this when you don't really know yet what is going on. Easy for me to say, hard for you to do, I know. How long have you had jaundice and pain?

I'm glad you went!
My GFR (blood test for kidney function) earlier this year went aa low as 30. It's to be greater >60.
I drank & drank lots of liquid and got those kidnesys functioning at >60 Maybe that's what you need to do. I hope, as drinking liquids is an easy thing one can do.
I know aving a little one takes most your time, and you put yourself last, but try to drink something everytime you give her something to drink but drink a full glass instead of sips.

As for your liver being inflammed and jaundice, I'm not all quite sure what causes that, other than Bellirubin.
As both my kids had it when they were born and was put under lights.
Please hang in there honey, as long as you take care of yourself, you will be fine. You may feel like your 90 but you'll be OK.
Keep us posted on your sonagram and any other testings. OK?

hey Patricia,

Just thinking about you and letting you know that I am keeping you in my prayers. My little sister also has lupus and is currently dealing with her kidney's too. She is 26 years old. She did chemotherapy and seems to be doing a lot better. I can understand you being totally over all of this. Just try to hang in there. Keep us posted on the results.
